Privacy Policy

Introduction & Data Controller Notice:
Daily Activity Tracker is a serverless application developed by an independent developer operating as JtnrDev ("we", "us", "the developer"). We do not operate any server infrastructure to collect, store, or process your activity data. There is no server database that your activities, sessions, or goals pass through. All data remains stored locally on your device. Daily Activity Tracker features no sign-in, no user accounts, and no cloud sync — you remain the sole data controller of your activity tracking information.

1. Information We Collect and Use

Daily Activity Tracker prioritizes local storage and complete user control. No data described below is transmitted to us, sold, or shared with advertisers, as it resides strictly within the app's local database on your device.

A. No Sign-In or Account

Daily Activity Tracker does not require or offer any sign-in, account creation, or third-party authentication. We do not collect your name, email address, or any account identifiers, except if you voluntarily contact us for support (see Section 9).

B. User-Generated Activity Data

Activities: Names, categories, colors, icons, and daily target/limit settings.
Time Sessions: Start and stop timestamps recorded for each tracked activity.
Per-Day Goal Overrides: One-off target or limit modifications for specific days.
Categories: Custom category labels created within the app.
App Preferences: Display settings such as Light, Dark, or System theme preferences.

C. Notifications

Daily Activity Tracker requests notification permissions (required on Android 13+) solely to display:

An ongoing notification showing the active activity timer.
An alert when an activity reaches its designated daily target or limit.

All notification processing occurs locally via Android's native system framework. No notification content is transmitted off-device.

D. Backup File (Local & User-Controlled)

Daily Activity Tracker allows exporting a backup of your data as a single JSON file via Android's Storage Access Framework. You choose where to store the file (e.g., local storage or external SD card). We do not automatically upload, access, or track this file. Restoring data functions similarly: you manually select a local backup file, and the app reads it directly on-device.

E. Information We Do Not Collect

Daily Activity Tracker does not integrate analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or advertising networks. We do not collect device identifiers, usage metrics, precise location data, or behavioral telemetry. The app contains no camera or media capture features.

2. Google Play Services

A. In-App Review

When requesting an app rating from Settings, the app utilizes Google's Play In-App Review API to present a prompt without leaving the app interface. This interaction takes place directly between your device and Google Play. We do not receive data regarding whether a review was submitted or its contents.

B. In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing) — Planned

Daily Activity Tracker does not currently offer in-app purchases, but plans to introduce optional purchases (e.g., unlocking premium features) using the Google Play Billing Library. Upon activation:

All payment processing (credit card details, billing addresses) is handled entirely by Google Play. We never store or access your payment credentials.
We receive only transaction validation data provided by Google Play (e.g., purchase tokens, product IDs) to confirm entitlement and unlock feature access.
Your purchase history remains tied to your Google Play account and can be managed via Google Play order history.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Activity data is never shared with third parties as we never possess it. The sole third-party service integrated is Google Play for review prompts and billing operations. The app does not use Google Sign-In or Google Drive sync.

4. Data Security

Local data is safeguarded by Android's native security architecture, including full-disk encryption, lock screen security, and application sandboxing. Exported backups are secured according to the storage location selected by the user. Because we operate no central servers, there is no remote database susceptible to data breaches.

5. Data Retention

Data stored locally persists on your device until the application is uninstalled or storage is manually cleared. Exported backup files remain in your chosen storage directory until manually deleted. Customer support emails are retained only for as long as necessary to resolve inquiries.

6. Your Data Deletion Options

You maintain full authority over your data:

Delete Backup Files: Locate the exported JSON file using a device file manager and delete it directly.
Clear Local App Data: Navigate to Settings > Apps > Daily Activity Tracker > Storage & cache > Clear Data, or uninstall the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Daily Activity Tracker is not directed toward children under the age of 13 (or applicable local age limits). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Your Rights

Under applicable privacy regulations (such as GDPR or CCPA), you hold rights regarding data access, correction, deletion, and portability. Since all data resides locally on your device, these rights are exercised directly through app settings or file management without requiring administrative intervention. 10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to align with application updates or regulatory standards. Revisions take effect immediately upon publication. Material updates will be reflected by an updated Effective Date at the top of this document.
